LA Climate Week: Climate Fresk Workshop

This workshop offers a unique opportunity to quickly grasp the complexities of climate change through an interactive process grounded in the trusted IPCC reports—the same science that informs global leaders. You’ll collaborate with diverse participants to assemble 42 scientifically grounded cards, uncovering the connections behind climate change. Reflect on its emotional impact, share perspectives, brainstorm actionable solutions, and leave inspired!

ACEing Autism is a program that helps children with autism grow through the sport of tennis. Volunteers play tennis with the kids in a fun and social environment! No tennis experience required, just a positive attitude! A background check will be required for each volunteer, and you will receive an email with instructions. You will need to create an account.

It is that time of year again, VA Greater Los Angeles will be hosting our yearly Campus Beautification Cleanup Day on April 26, 2025, from 8 am to 12pm. We are seeking volunteers to help this day to make the campus beautiful for the Veterans here on campus.

Meals on Wheels Delivery and Operations Volunteer APPLICATION
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm EVERY WEEK
YES, this event requires an application. Once you complete it, you will be able to act as a delivery or operations volunteer for Meals on Wheels, a cherished Belles event. As an operations volunteer, you will pack and help volunteers with their delivery bags, and clean returned bags. As a delivery volunteer, you will assist with deliveries.

Happy Spring Quarter! I hope you all are feeling refreshed after the break and are ready to finish the year strong! I’m so excited to see you all very soon, and please sign up for Spring Retreat so I can catch up with everyone :) !!!
.Just a bit of a refresher, for meeting attendance credit make sure to fill out the attendance form shown on the projector at GM (and if you come in late, please find me afterwards). Remember that missing GM without filling out the appropriate form (either attendance or non-recurring excused absence, both found in my weekly emails) will result in a penalty. Also, please remember to submit proof to the S25 Event Attendance Tracker after participating in any event for any office. To check your status in fulfilling credit, refer to the S25 Event Completion Sheet.
In addition, please fill out the S25 Recurring Conflict Form if you plan on missing multiple GM’s due to work or school. Additionally, if you plan on going inactive for the winter quarter, please fill out the Spring Inactive Form. Both forms are due by the Sunday of Week 2, Sunday 19th, at 11:59 PM (this is a hard deadline) and can be found in the email I sent out Monday morning regarding GM details and weekly board agendas.

Pay your dues! If you paid yearly dues last quarter, you DO NOT have to pay anything for Winter or Spring Quarter. For those who chose to pay quarterly, this applies to you!
For active members QUARTERLY - $35
For inactive members QUARTERLY - $21.67
Payments can be made through Venmo @BruinBellesServiceAssociation or another form of payment. Please pay your dues by the end of week 5. Failure to pay dues without reason will result in termination of membership.
Reimbursements
Please contact the Fundraising Office via email if you make any PRE-APPROVED purchases for BBSA events. Purchases include transportation costs to attending events. Afterward, request the amount that should be reimbursed. If you do not get your purchase pre-approved by the fundraising office, there is no guarantee that you will receive a reimbursement.

WOW oh how Spring Break FLEWWWW by so quickly!! I hope that you all had a very fun spring break :) It was so fun looking at my Insta and seeing your beautiful stories and posts! I loved geeking over them and hyping you beauties up <3 I spent time back at home with my family in LA and went to San Diego to see my best friend and friends living there! It was such a nice and lovely getaway :) We got our nails done, went to the beach, ate at cute cafes, went to Din Tai Fung, and went to Downtown San Diego and sang our hearts out at a Karaoke clurb until 2am HAHA! It just hit me in 10 weeks, I will graduate… crickets… I’m baffling while I’m writing this HHAHHAHHAH! Anywaysssss, have a great week belles! <3
