Hello my beautiful Belles!! Happy Week Nine! I have had such an incredibly busy week, oh my goodness. This weekend will be another reset for me, so I am excited to have things slow down a tad bit. I worked on my final for Branstetter’s class on Friday, so I’m now technically done with one of my classes which is so so nice. I am also incredibly excited for WLC!! I know Juliette will do an amazing job and every speaker will be fabulous! Not much else from me, but just a reminder that office hours are always there if you need them for anything! Last thing, the feedback form is now live, so pretty please fill it out by the end of week nine! As always, if you ever need anything, we are here for you!! Just reach out! Belle love always!! 🤍

    • Description: help set up for this annual event! UNLIMITED BELLES! just pull up

    • Location: Carnesale Commons (ON-CAMPUS)

  • 3/7 Annual IDALA (International Dyslexia Association LA) Event Help 7:30am-9:30am

    • Description: Direct guests from parking structure to Carnesale and then up to the main floor

  • 3/5 SOCIAL & CO DUAL CREDIT: Dog Toy Making @Mia’s apartment 5:00pm

    • Description: Get 1 social and 1 CO credit by making dog toys to donate to shelters out of old Belle merch (that we cannot get rid of)

  • 3/7 ACEing Autism 4:00pm - 5:00pm

    • Description: Channel your inner Challengers as you go to UCLA’s Sycamore courts to play tennis with children with autism.

    • Location: 12445 Mountaingate Dr Los Angeles, CA  90049; Driver Needed (~20-30min); Belle Limit: 5

    • Credits: 1

    • Note: You will need to (1) create an account with ACEing Autism (2) sign liability and photography waivers (3) complete a small background check form. Sounds like a lot but took me <10min. Then will need to sign up individually through website.  

  • 3/7 Special Olympics Community Practice 10:00am-12:00am @Hitch Basketball courts

    • Description: Check out their insta post

    • Credits: 1

  • 3/8 See fundraising agenda! Concert @5:00pm to support Women’s center

  • 3/8 Nourish LA (times unspecified for now)

Week 10 (3/9-3/15)

  • 3/11 Volunteer at the California Jazz Foundation’s Annual Give the Band a Hand Gala in DTLA; 2 shifts (2:00pm-6:00pm) (6:00pm-10:00pm)

    • Description: Help run this event by setting up, directing guests to their tables, supporting the auction, and more, while enjoying an hour-long jazz program. The event benefits jazz musicians in need of financial support. Dinner will be provided. Belle limit: 10 (2 Drivers needed) Dress code: business attire. 

    • NOTE: 4 Belles can arrive at 2:00pm and stay until 6:00

    • SHIFT 1: 2:00pm 

    • Credits: 2+

    • Sign-up deadline: 3/7 @2pm

  • 3/11 Babysitting at Harvest Home 7:00pm - 8:30pm

    • Description: Babysit children living at Harvest Home shelter so their mothers can have a night to relax; Belle limit: 5

  • 3/14 Fowler Museum: Special Program: Exploring Relooted and the Intersection of Gakjuhn ming and Repatriation 12:30-4:30 PM

My week was packed with assignments but I got to see lots of people that I love so it was still wonderful. I made lots of chocolate covered strawberries (actually so easy bc of my lovely candle lamp) and FINALLY met Jojo in dance moms. The WLC was epic and fantabulous and darling Juliette killed it.

  • Charity Concert (1 credit)

    • What: a rooftop concert for International Women’s Day!

    • When: Sunday March 8th 5-6 PM

    • Where: 555 Glenrock Rooftop

    • Notes: Donations recommended at $3-5. This is our first time hosting this event, and I would love to make it a tradition. Encourage friends to come with (1 credit for every 5 friends you bring), it’s going to be so much fun!

  • Dip-n-Mix Fundraiser (1 credit & 1 possible social credit)

    • What: Order something tasty for a credit. If you go with another Belle, you get a social credit too!

    • When: Monday, March 2nd 5-9 PM

    • Notes: Must type “UCLA Bruin Belles” in order notes. Tell your friends to support too!

Reimbursements

Please contact the Fundraising Office via email if you make any PRE-APPROVED purchases for BBSA events. Purchases include transportation costs to attend events. Afterward, request the amount that should be reimbursed. If you do not get your purchase pre-approved by Natalia, there is no guarantee that you will receive a reimbursement.

Hi my gorgeous Belles!

I have my last midterm this Monday and its been so hard to study when the weathers been so nice. My sister came to visit and we spent the weekend eating our way through LA. I also went to Rocco’s karaoke for the first time and it was SO FUN, would highly recommend.

Hi Belles! Happy week 9. I hope you are all doing well and taking care of yourselves. I’m not gonna lie I am very happy Winter quarter is almost over because I think Spring is always the most fun. I took a heinous 14c midterm on Friday NIGHT which is lowk so evil but now I am chilling. To keep myself happy this week I have been spending lots of time with my roomies and enjoying our cozy apartment. I also had the loveliest most unproductive study session with Jayleen queen.
