Happy Week 2 Already!! AHHHHH

This week was crazy hectic.. I think my only breaks were dinner BUT a very successful and fun one. Board + DB photos were fab, like we all look stunner. Also flyering and recruitment has been an absolute blast. Meeting possible future Baby Belle’s and getting to spend time with you guys has been oh so worth it. (Even if that means getting up early). Been watching a TON of Gossip Girl, been making fun Duffl content, received gummy worms from my TA, went to my first of many Cardio Dance Party classes with Natalia, have had B-Plate for like 5 days straight (It’s fire trust) and have had a very interesting? 3 hour class. Can’t wait for this week and what’s in store! YAY!

hello sweeties :) happy week two :) i have had a very very busy and kind of grim week but that means i’m extra excited to see you all. somewhat relatedly i was eaten alive by mosquitoes on wednesday night so i’m really ready for this heat and humidity wave to be over. this week i was a brave girl and i talked to people in my classes! i find this scary at best of times and just awful in the econ department so a big win.

at time of writing i’m looking forward to a friday sweetgreen visit to try their new pickle caesar…so we will see if i like that. i also booked my ticket home for thanksgiving and i found my favorite skirt in another color. add to cart

Hello my lovelies! Happy week 2 :). I hope you had a rejuvenating weekend. There was so much going on this past week, but within all of that, there were so many good things.

I had the absolute best time at B-plate this week with varying conversations. The Community Outreach office had our dinner last week, and I went to a few UCLA volleyball games. My roommate is also the most insanely talented person EVA, so safe to say we’re having a lot of fun with her insane guitar skills and my mediocre singing skills. ALSO Noah Kahan’s new single came out for the Sunrise and Reaping… and I think they’ll need to drag me out of the theater.

I’m trying a new hair routine, so we’ll see how that goes, and if anyone has any good wavy products, please let me know. I see all the hard work you guys are putting in both inside and outside Belles, so keep killing it, babe! Of course, reach out if you need anything at all.

why are my classes actually real… i thought ts was supposed to be fun and games… my 10 quiz-only, open-internet fake comms class turned out to be cross-listed with a psych lab and now there is a very real midterm and final and paper… OH right right… and my tax class is my most fun class AND ISN’T THAT SAD?! econ is buns but it always is and econ 103 is actually demon spawn. my etsy witch powers (i did tarot twice) need to manifest good grades for me this quarter cuz what da hail

in happier news, i am so so so happy the first craft night was a success! loved learning how to be a woman leader at the first workshop of the quarter (shoutout alexa!) and i got to host a meet and greet with the applicants from my other club (both virtually and irl) so i’m really out here social battery maxxing. SAW STEPH AT YRLLL and had a restful weekend back home and saw my parents :) and i have plans to walk to ggiata with another friend which is basically just the Danielle Trail now since i seem to be going every week. SOMEONE COME W ME AGAIN :))) i dream of the caesar wrap and i need to try everything on this delicious menu LMFAO ALSO BRENTWOOD IS ACTUALLY PEAK i tried The Yogurt Shoppe and its my new fav dessert place i also need someone to go w me there it needs to b a weekly occurence ANDDD i just got my groupx pass (FOR FREE cuz im a rec teacher mwahhahahahha) so someone try all the classes out with me immediately.

HELLLOOO  BELLES!!! 

Week 1 has literally been the longest week of my life AH. My classes are only on Monday/Wednesday which is wonderful in theory,  but when it actually comes to those days it's a bit brutal. ANYWHO… this week has been so so busy but I've had many fun mems!! Last weekend, I got to go to the Hollywood Bowl with my bestie Gianna and watch the ABBA tribute show which was life changing for our 7th grade Mamma Mia obsessed selves. I had a delish spookie pizookie  with Juliette and Natalia, got to make cutie little felt crafts at Danielle’s AMAZING craft night, made so many decorations with my roomies for our apartment, and actually got lots of good sleep through it all! Aside from this, it has also been a very Belle-esque week, and it’s making me so excited for the rest of the fun events that have yet to have throughout the year!!! 

I’m also excited for October (aka the best month ever) and all the Fall Halloween spooky  activities to come (ignoring the fact its going to be 90 degrees in a few days….)!

      • Belles Blood and Platelet Donation Week - coming later this quarter! 

      • I am registering Belles for UCLA’s LifeSaver Program this quarter! Through this program, we will set a goal for the number of blood and platelet donations we want to receive throughout the quarter. Anyone can donate on behalf of Belles, even if they are not a member, and each donation will count toward our goal and help us earn money for BBSA!  We will also choose a designated donation week later in the quarter to encourage everyone to donate together, but donations can be made on behalf of Belles throughout the entire quarter! When you go in to donate, there will be a QR code that you can scan to register your donation under our organization.

        I will be sending out an email later this week with more details, as well as a google form to see how many Belles would be willing to donate and which week would work best for everybody. :)

we officially survived our first week back!! thank you to everyone who came out to our first GM and helped us kick off the quarter. it was so nice getting to see everyone and start the year together!!

HI GUYS!

WHY IS WEEK 1 NOT SILLY LIKE HELLO, BRING BACK SYLLY WEEK.

I was assigned 134 pages of readings with handwritten notes at 7:30 PM the night before it was due??? Hello what. But all is ok.

Happy wise, it was such a lovely Belle-filled week!!! Workout classes with Natalie (including scary gym bro time), Danielle craft night + Venmo cold call, SENIOR SUNRISE OMG IT MADE MY HEART SO HAPPY, Elle surprise, Anastasia lunch, Anais bagels & shopping, Lizzy and Juliette pizookie time!!, and GM duh. I LOVE YOU ALL, and you make me so happy and excited for Mondays. 

I also started in a wet lab and really like the other undergrad and mentor, so that is fab. I whacked mice heart tissues (powder form) for hours….uhm yeah.

ALSO, I’m getting better at cooking hashtag praisebe

AND ALSO 2X Anais is actually the best parker ever. Not that I would ever doubt my lovely mother, but she parallel parked in the SMALLEST spot EVER while there were like 7 cars behind us on this insanely narrow AND curved street, and I am still floored and so beyond impressed. Obviously, she does everything with grace, but this parking job seriously solidified that forever and ever, and I will be thinking of her expert skills often.

Hi amazing Belles! This past week has been a hectic and eventful one for me but I am so excited I will be in attendance for GM this week! I spent a lot of time acclimating to my classes and getting some much needed sleep.

Belles related, I am so happy with how board pictures turned out! I also got to host my first Women’s Leadership workshop ever and I cautiously say it went well!

Aside from that, I am grateful to my coloring book for getting me through the week and the people I’ve been spamming about my math class.

Campus Culture

Happy happy week 2 loves! I hope everyone had a great first week and an even better weekend. I love seeing Belles out & about on campus or in Westwood. Truly makes my whole day. This week I had lots of classes, internship, ucla recreation, and club meetings. I also got to spend some time with friends and call my mom on virtually every walk to class. I’ve been told that I am always on the phone when people see me and I promise you 9/10 times it's me yapping to my mother. The senior sunrise was so incredibly gorgeous especially with Natalia’s scrumptious banana bread. I also have been seeing so much beauty around campus and it makes me so thankful for how gorgeous our surroundings are (shoutout all the flowers and IM Field sunsets). I hope you all have an amazing week and always power through.

The workshop schedule has been finalized for the next few weeks! The rest will be posted later. If you are unable to make the workshops, or want to try something new, some alternative options are reading a book related to cultures/inclusivity, some examples include Yellowface, Braiding Sweetgrass, the sympathizer, or any other possible ones just email me! Still working on a way to submit proof for this but if interested let me know! Another option is watching a movie/documentary Gather (2020), Minari (2020), CODA etc. let me know!! Or to attend some sort of cultural event just let me know beforehand, this could be something at the fowler, cultural musical performances, or really anything, you have the freedom! Just check with me beforehand.
